“Stress is the body’s physiological response to overwhelming stimuli, a condition that directly challenges the body’s ability to maintain homeostasis.”  What types of stress do you deal with? There are many different types of stress. Some of the different stresses that we deal with are behavioral stress, energy, lack of stress, illness, stress-related, moodiness driven stress, physical stress, lack of management, and intense trauma stress.  As you can see, stress can affect us all in different ways, not just one. It is important to talk about what your stressors and try not to hold it in the inside. If you hold it in, it really could get worse. “Stress reduces the blood-brain barrier’s ability to process information and make a decision.  Cortisol deactivates the immune system, which does not cause serious problems as long as it is only a temporary, acute, response to stress.” “Risk of heart attack and stroke increase, anxiety and depression are more likely, and infertility can result, as well as a number of other chronic conditions including asthma, back pain, fatigue, headaches, serious digestive issues, and many others.”  All in all, it is best to sit down with yourself to figure out what is causing that stress, before it gets any further. Some of the oils that are recommended for stress are elevation which is the joyful blend, wild orange, reassuring blend (peace), lavender and the calming blend (serenity).

Recipes for Stress


10 drops Frankincense

12 drops Invigorating blend

8 drops Lavender

4 drops Peppermint

Combine oils into a roller bottle and fill remainder with fractionated coconut oil.  Apply to pulse points and behind the ears.
