Slow Cooker Steel Cut Oats

Slow Cooker Oatmeal

Did you know that you could make oatmeal in a slow cooker?  Well, actually making oatmeal out of a slow cooker is so much better then using a microwave!  I made it over night on Friday and it turned out well! The next morning, I put two tablespoons of flaxseeds, one tablespoon of chia seeds, fresh berries, and almonds in it with some honey! It was so delicious!  Go purchase that slow cooker!

1 cup  organic Steel-Cut Oats

Optional toppings

Freshly Ground flaxseeds

Chia Seeds

Fresh Berries

Sliced Peaches

Place the oats and 4 1/2 cups of filtered water in a small, 1.5-quart slow cooker.  Turn the heat to low and cook for at least 8 hours or overnight.  Serve with a variety of healthful toppings.
